Training Collar Guide: Pick the training collar that best suits your pet

Best Humane Bark Collar?

I have a Beagle/ Dachshund mix who is 6 months old, and lately he has been barking a lot. I’ve tried everything to make him stop without having to use a bark collar, but the barking wont stop. I don’t really want to use a shock collar, so I was thinking of the other humane collars with the bad smell or bad noise. However, I also have 2 huskies and Im afraid that if I get one of the humane collars that the Huskies will have to suffer from the noise or smell too. Would they be able to hear/smell the humane collar on my little dog? Any suggestions? Thanks!

  • Get the citronella spray collar and at least one refill can (get as many as you can). Your other dogs won’t suffer horribly from a little citronella spray. It smells sort of like oranges. Do they cringe when you eat citrus fruit? No. Yet it does work very well.

My experience with "ultrasonic" collars has been that it was a worthless piece of junk. Unfortunately, they still make the collars
