Puppy Training

style=”float:left;margin:5px;”> I’ve worked on so many things with Twix, but today we worked on him jump on my back. I am not to lift too much when he was a puppy! I want him to learn the basics and as he gets older he will be able to jump higher. He is such a natural and loves everything goes a frisbee. πŸ™‚ Have fun! Attention everyone! Pam, Bandit & Twix Video Rating: 4/5

  • looks like a shepherd of sorts.

  • what race is at 0:57??

  • lol my dogs would just eat XD They’re too small and do not like to go to catch the frisbee: 3

  • YEP! πŸ™‚

  • That’s a big pile frisbees LOL

  • my dogs bumb to do that: (

  • Love you laugh when he knocks you over!

  • @ Prettybeautyqueenify I hope that helped some. My friend kikopup has a great video about how to contact link to something the dog enjoys. It is easier to use food, but I do use a lot of toys. I love my hyper border collies, but I want to be able to calm down, settle or “give me hugs” when I ask if I stop moving. The problem with toys is that the dogs can really get wound up and over aroused.

  • @ Prettybeautyqueenify Well, I worked for dealing with Twix since he was 10 weeks old. To teach him hugs, I gave him a hug and snapped and threw a toy, then I repeated the process until all I had to say was hugs and he would come flying into my lap. I vary the amount of time he has to spend giving me hugs now. I also vary the reinforcement (sometimes he gets a cookie, sometimes a toy, and sometimes I’m not a yes or highlight it and click just to bring a ok).

  • thanks so much Pam, I do not have mac, but I’m sure once I get into it I could use some training videos of my own (eventually!) Thanks for taking the time to reply to me, you’re very kind. From Tenille, (and Chester & Lola) in Australia πŸ™‚

  • I use imovie that’s on my mac computer. It is only a mac software. I’m glad you enjoy my videos! I love making them and it gives me excuses to work with my dogs! Not that I need an excuse. haha!

  • Hi Pam, Can you tell me what video editing software you use? They always look so good! Thanks

  • Me too! Thank you!

  • great video! wish everyone had so much fun training!

  • Oh it’s such a beautiful sight to see! Twix is really better, I just love how well it works for you! He’s just a blast, lol the bloopers are so funny! Another fantastic video!

  • Great to another video. At the first Twix would jump and look at you, where’s the frisbee? Oh no! I get shaky! I have a fix Isabelle … soon!

  • Thanks Perry! I really feel for you! How is Goose doing? Hang in there! Did you get my message about what I would have done differently after Bandit broke his leg? Twix, loves giving hugs. He just leans on me and I feel him relax in my arms. I feel so blessed with three wonderful dogs! πŸ™‚

  • Thank you! Your comment really means a lot to me! I love my dogs more than anything in the world! They are part of our family and I would like them anywhere I could! πŸ™‚
