Not necessarily, it depends on the country were you live how VI you need to be to qualify. Some adults with autism have service dogs that do similar things for them because their brains don’t process visual information properly, and these videos help owner trainers figure out how to train these kinds of things. Of course, a lot of people watching might just be curious.

Nice.
Well, I’m only visually impaired, so luckily I’d be able to see it anyways
Thanks for responding

No, The owner tells the dog where to go. The dog just guides them around obstacles. some dogs do learn habitual routes, though, like to work or the grocery store.

They put the poop bag on their hand, they feel along the dog to where the poop comes out, and then feel around on the ground for the warm squishy stuff and pick it up. They are taught how during team training.

No. They clean it up. They put the poop bag on their hand, they feel along the dog to where the poop comes out, and then feel around on the ground for the warm squishy stuff and pick it up. They are taught how during team training.

Out of curiosity, why don’t you teach the dogs to stop at the end of the stairs? I was taught to teach them to stop and the top and bottom.

Not everyone who is blind is completely blind. Most blind people do have some vision.

Gwen is the love of Gaelens life. She is such a good natured and amazing dog. She has brought so much laughter and joy to our family. They are working excellent together. She has travelled alot with Gaelen and this summer they will be touring all over the USA with the drum corp. Were you at the graduation last year? I want to thank you for doing such a good job and sending us such a marvelous animal. thanks ,Kathy
