How many volts and amps does a Petsafe underground fence give to my dog?
I just installed a Petsafe underground pet fence that gives a static electrical correction to the dog and would like to know how much juice it gives. The collar has 5 settings for small and timid dogs to max setting for stubborn dogs.

I wouldn’t turn the volts up to high or Fido might explode all over the neighbors yard.(just kidding) I would start at the lowest setting and see how the dog responds to it without worrying about the voltage. If he keeps wandering off the perimeter then I would increase the voltage to the next highest level until you get the desired results. I know allot of people who own these systems and they seem to work well. We havent heard any complaints from any of the customers at the pet store I work at about it hurting the dogs.
