I have a new dog and I want to use a shock collar from past dog. How is the signal strength adjusted?
I have an invisible fence from the Canine Fence Co. and I recently rescued a dog and I want to train him on the invisible fence. The collar I have from a previous dog is not at a strong enough shocking signal. My new dog is about 20 lbs heavier and the collar doesn’t even bother him. I know the collar can be adjusted but I have no idea how. Anyone familiar with this situation?

O.K., My husband is the one who does the fence/collar stuff but I know that the strength is not adjusted on the collar itself, but by increasing strength/border at the site of wherever your unit thingy has been installed. Hope this helps.

Personally, I think dogs should NOT wear shock collars unless they are causing a massive problem like severe agression to you or other dogs. My advice is that you take the dog back because no dog should suffer. How would you like it if you were a baby and someone put a shock collar on you and gave you an electric shock!

Shock collars are cruel and you should be reported to the ASPCA for wanting to use one

Throw it away!!! Try a stockage wooden fence instead.
