Now seriously, WHY would you want to do that? It would make your dog absolutely crazy, never knowing where the "boundary" is, never knowing if his next step will be the one that zaps him. It’s not like you can communicate to your dog, "stay within 20 feet of me or you’ll get shocked." He doesn’t know how to measure. What you’ll end up with is a terribly fearful dog.
And to Krysia,
Underground fences are VERY different than having a portable device to determine the shock radius. A dog can LEARN the boundaries of an invisible fence and avoid them; a device that is always moving has boundaries that move with it — the dog is left guessing.

Hi
God I hope not, the proper way to train is to gain the dogs trust first, you’ll never do that while hurting it, would you have liked that sort of treatment growing up?

Hi Krysia.
Have you tried wearing that collar for any length of time?

Honestly I don’t understand why people are so touchy tonight. I have an under ground fence for my dog, He wears a collar that give him a "beep" when hes getting close to his boundary, If he goes over it he gets a shock, however the training that’s provided with this underground fence teaches his to back off with the beeps and not the schock, the schock is a last resort. There also exists a radio fence that works in a similar way for more info check the link I provide.
