A growing number of high end boutique hotels and chains are now catering to the canine traveler, complete with special menus, plush beds and dog walking services. In California, people treat their pets like children, so it’s not unusual to find plenty of places where your pet will be spoiled. The Grand Sierra Resort in Reno allows cats and dogs. We have our TICA cat show there every year. They have just finished remodeling all rooms. The bathroom in the larger suites are full granite and are huge. 5 cats no problem.

Well I know some great pet hotels not for humans though, they are called “D Pet Hotels Hollywood” and “Chateau Poochie” I wish “Chateau Poochie” is in LA but it’s in Florida the “D Pet Hotels Hollywood” is very close
The “Lake Arrowhead Resort” and “Cliffs Resort” sounds very nice I like how the bakery and nice bed is right there for your pooch!

Wow that is so awesome! We love our girl Abbey, she’s a longhaired miniature dachshund
But we live in LA and it’s hard to find pet friendly hotels………. I wish all the hotels were pet friendly lol

I notice these are called Pet Friendly Hotels but they should really be called Dog Friendly Hotels. I don’t think any provide horse stables, cat runs, bird aviaries or hamster wheels. Okay, I’m being a bit of a #$)&##, but when you think about it, I’m right. I don’t think there’s a market for the others, so I think they use the word pet instead of dog because it sounds nicer.

Thanks Tim! The wireless mic is really great and I think we’ve finally figured out how to dial in the sound better. California has really become much more pet friendly just in the past year. Another great pet-friendly resort we’ll be profiling is the Loews Coronado Bay Resort in San Diego. They even have a surfing dog contest!

Wow! I loved the new style with you riding the bike and walking at the beginning. That is really professional. What’s better is that I now know there are pet-friendly places. I always thought the animals would have to stay at home.
