PLEASE HELP! CR2032 or DL2032 3v Batteries?
I have a PetSafe training collar with a remote for my dog. The batteries on the received (collar) went out so I need to replace them. The current batteries are CR2032′s….but when at Home Depot where I purchased the collar, the Duracell battery packaging in the top left corner was labeled CR2032/DL2032, so I assumed this was the correct battery (even though on the actual battery, it is labeled DL2032. I have tried the batteries in the collar and they do not work.
Anybody with experience with batteries, am I doing something wrong or are DL2032 batteries the same at CR2032? What is the difference between the DL and the CR???

CR… DL… For the 2032 3v lithium button cell, it’s just a designation of the manufacturer. The 2032 means that it’s 20mm in diameter, and 3.2mm in thickness. Two possibilities why your new ones aren’t working. There may have been a malfunction in the device that you erroneously though were dead batteries, or it’s possible that you’ve inserted the new ones incorrectly. They do have polarity and one side is marked with a + sign. (Also make sure you do have the 2032, rather than the 2023 1.5v alkaline batteries.)
