Good question! The dogs are put into those types of scenarios in training, and are usually prepared because they have seen this play out many times in practice.

A dog that just bites people because someone looked at it in the eyes, would be a big liability. We do not want our dogs making decisions like that or people would be getting bit all the time.

The police and schutzhund trainers can train their dogs to look them in the eye and not attack. I can get my own GSD to do that and I even do bite work with him.

If you look right into a dog eyes that’s mean you are challanging it. Its react is depend on its temperament. If it is dominant, strong character you’ll be in trouble, if not, s/he turns away his/her head avoiding look at you. …But I think, in your cause, the problem is different. There might occur some wesen or training problem or even might cause of this unacceptable act the dog’s bad experience.
This video shows an excellent dog who is extramly trained and incredable disciplined.

My friend has a GSD, and when I look him right in the eyes he wil jump on me and wil bite me. My friend lost a peace of his ear. I was just hurt cause he bited me in my arm. When i growls we always lock him up in de bath room. He always almost crushed the door but never whole thrue it.
