  • PLEASE, I’ve watched Cesar Milan videos a lot, and he is all about a dominance and a pack leadership, and your ways are such a different thing. I want to get an Akita Inu, so i’m not sure what method to use, because akitas are known to be dominant dogs, and because i never had a dog before, i want to be completely prepared for him, to not make mistakes. Can you pleeeeaseee give me some advice what method to use, or any other thing you know about akita training??? Thanks!P.S sorry for my english:)

  • hi ehow pets … soon ill be having a puppy but I have not yet decided what type of puppy I want…. and I am really in love with Dylan can you please tell what type of puppy it is??

  • Hi Victoria, I want to train my pup, but he will not take treats, he actually eats in limited quantities, as if he is self conscious. Are there any alternative positive reinforcements.

  • Hello ms Stilwell, my rottweiler just won’t listen my commands. I use your positively method and when I give him food from my hand, he sits down and I give him to eat. But when I tell him to sit down he doesn’t listen. We have been practicing in the indoor and outdoor spaces. When we are outside he doesn’t listen to me, and the indoors sometimes responds to my command. Do you have any advice to my situation? Thank you.

  • My pup is entirely way too hyper, what do I do?

  • What kind of dog treats are being used?? I am nervous im gonna fill my pups belly too full!!

  • Type of dog?

  • It sounds like you may need some additional help. I would recommend finding a local positive reinforcement trainer. If you enjoy reading you might like the book “Culture Clash” by Jean Donaldson. It is incredibly thought provoking and offers fantastic problem solving techniques.

  • You will have more success if you work with one dog at a time.

  • I’m surprised that for this video you opted to forego using a clicker. Regardless, it was a very informative video.

  • Greyhounds are amazing dogs with great capabilities as pets. I recommend reading “Retired Racing Greyhounds for Dummies” by Lee Livingood and spending time at a local meet-and-greet to see if they are the right fit for your family. Any dog can be well trained with the right amount of work invested on your part. However, if you aren’t supposed to have a dog in your location you should seriously consider the potential repercussions of your choice to add a dog to your family.

  • how do i do this with two pups?

  • i tried this trick on my 45 days old rottweiler puppy,it bites me a lot.so couldn’t continue.

  • HI EhowPets,
My name is Daniela, I’m having trouble with my dog that is 8 months. He is a full breed Yorkie, he is very disobedient,he always so hyper and full of energy, it takes him a while to concentrate. I tried teaching him how to sit for the last two hours now and nothing seems to work on him. I also tried teaching him how to stop biting and he won’t listen either. I don’t know what to do. Is their some advise you can give me for very hyper dogs?
    THANK YOUU 🙂
