What do you think of “crate training” a dog?
question by Liz : What do you think of “crate training” a dog I really wanted a dog recently. one of the dogs I found on the SPCA said it was very high. Then further down the description, he said he was trained body. So, she did not pee in the house since she was shut up all day? I think its mean to lock a puppy all day. What do y’all think. We fund our dogs puppies for some reason – even limited to one piece, the pups can get into things, or eat things they should not, and it was the best way to former.Comme they age, and are able to hold their bladders every day, we stopped the boxes.

Crate training worked for me, but I came back at noon to let him out. A puppy can not be expected to last 8 hours w / out going little pot.Une alternative is to get the pads, put a tarp down and hook a corral doggy (like a baby park) and have attached to the body with the elastic cord. This way they can get the cash and let the water go potty on the pads. If there is an error that you just wipe the sheet down with the enzyme own pet. I would leave classical music on the channel or animals to keep him company.

I think crate training is a great idea ….. puppy keeps getting into trouble with things like the trash … son’s electric … chemicals ….. shoes …. ….. pillows of curtain …. my three little dogs sleep in an over-sized crate at night and do quite well …. during the day, they are outside in a fenced yard with a shed and a doggy Blankey and pillows to sleep on.

Although I would never recommend locking a dog all day there are some wonderful benefits of crate training a dog chien.Certains have separation anxiety and have a safe place, like a box of makes them feel safer. In addition, some dogs are very destructive and to be trained crate limits the amount of damage they can do to a region. The thing to remember is that the dog will usually lay down and sleep if they are not stimulated . So if you are not around, they would probably sleep all façon.Et if you train a dog crate, you should make sure to give them much attention, exercise and play when you get to the home. Thus, they have an exciting life too, and a reward for being good all journée.Pour make the fund more “fun”, you can give your dog bones to occupy their chewie temps.Assurez Always a dog plenty of room to stand up and turn around comfortably in the hand or it is too petiteobtenir more cash is better than a box too small.

The puppy needs to be a 4 or 5 months old before crate training. The box shall be just large enough to turn around and lie down. No more. If it is for the puppy dog / big will use one end to the use and the other end to throw. You try not to let the dog out there but sleep for hours and hours. You take the dog every time you step out of the box and within minutes the puppy ATS or drinks. This fund as the puppy grows becomes a safe place. when people or other happens is the place the dog will feel safe and should not be disturbed here. this fund as the dog ages to go with the dog if he / she has a more SLEP somwhre other cause whether his / her place. The puppy may have an accident or two, but they will learn quickly if you do your part right. If the puppy does not use the box and you go home / get up and the puppy goes outside, and then give you a treat. Try to leave the puppy in there for no more than possible and offer the puppy for a walk before returning to the crate. You can lock the puppy in a time out, but you do not want to turn this into the wrong angle.

Crate training is great. When I got my lab mix, she loved to chew anything and everything. It would not chew his cage. When we went, she went in her crate. After his gum phase, she was free to walk around. She sometimes just sits in his cage because it can. It’s much easier to get around the house carrying things when you can just say “Crate” and the dog out of the way and is nicely in the box. Right now it is even in his cage and I have not told to go. It just feels safe. It’s like a den.

Hummm chewed sofa, shoes, electrical son, wounded dog – dog dozing safe in his den while you’re busy / not at home – tough choice …… box trained rarely means stored in a body ALL THE TIME

I was against crate training about 40 years. Then I got a puppy dog. This creature could literally get off the closet doors. Nothing was safe and the puppy was not sure because there was no way to prevent it from falling into toxic cleaning products or to prevent chewing son. In desperation I broke down and got the biggest dog in a cage I could find and it only took a few days to get used to it. We have put him in it at work / school and left the door open when we were at home. It was wonderful and now I am a firm believer in crate training. Now it is his “house” and she likes to keep toys in it (it is over 2 years now). If it is in a good mood, she’ll even let our other dog sit for a while. She believes it is his private lair no longer needed, but is still a lot. It “allowed” us to use it to train the puppy we had last year and he suggests that it is his and he loves it too.

The fund serves as a house dog. A dog will not pee in the house, so they hold as long as they can. As long as you take them out before they erupt, they will not pee in there, as they realize that it is their maison.Gardez the dog there for the day, but it out before you leave, and right when you get back. Develop a schedule for pot. Will strengthen their bladder, and they will be faster than non-cash housebeoken chiens.Nous have done to our cocker. She still sleeps in the box (we have a bed inside for her), we just removed the door, because it does not need to be locked in plus.Espoir this info useful. Good luck!

please try other methods first, crate training can be a little human, what happens when you travel or leave for extended periods of time. the dog will be laying shit, and this can cause disease.

I think it really is (and I think most people do not know how to use it properly) Too many lazy people using the cash instead of walking to leurschiens often enough, they s are waiting for a puppy to hold it for 8 hours per day during their absence from work, etc.

Does not mean at all. If she loves him so she feels safe in it. My two pits are in crates for 7-8h a day while Im at work. Once I get home, they are out and free to come and go in and out of the dog door. But I leave the boxes open and they go to them when they are tired of their own. Its one thing secuity for dogs, as a den of their own. As it is not used as a punishment, they love having their own room (so to speak). Good luck
